“Be a student as long as you still have something to learn and this will mean all your life”
Dear loving students, staff and parents,
Once I came across a wonderful message by George Carlin where he says about the paradox of life.
I quote “The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families; We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts,
yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years”.
Today each one of us is called to educate our children better so that they are able to make a life not a living and add life to years not the other
way around. In order to achieve this in life every student needs to be a lifelong learner. On the way student may face many bad
and hard times but never lose hope in your hard time. After the heavy rain, we can see the sunshine. Every student needs to believe
in himself that he has the ability to do any kind of work whatever it is easy or tough. Education is not a safety net.
It is the rocket which will propel you towards success. All you have to do is have an aim and work on everything that takes to get a lift-off. As a student the most important thing to remember is that laziness is your worst enemy and hard work is your best friend. Always remember a dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work says Colin Powell.
Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine. Never lose childlike wonder. Show gratitude. Don’t complain; just work harder. Never give up. Always focus on making yourself better not on thinking that you are better. So dream big…work big and achieve big results in life. And make the motto of St. Jude’s Academy come true, i.e. LEARN, LOVE and LEAD-Towards a New Horizon. I am proud that I have got the chance to teach and accompany you in your academic journey. Always keep up the spirit and I wish you all the very best.
Study like there’s no tomorrow because if you keep putting off your studies for tomorrow, you’ll probably be too late. Always be a learner.
