Our History

St. Jude's Academy (Boys School) is an unaided minority Christian school, owned, managed and run by Delhi Catholic Archdiocese, a religious, charitable, educational and social organized society, registered under the societies Registration Act. The society undertakes programmes and projects and establishes institutions, the development of the whole person and for the promotion of justice and equality. Since education is crucial to integral development of the children, youth, the society establishes and administers educational institutions. Though this school is meant primarily for the members of Catholic community, it is also open to the members of other communities.

The education of a child is the joint responsibility of the child, parents, and school. Hence the overall development of the child is the joint responsibility of both home and school. St. Jude's Academy came to exist on August Ist 2008 as a play school. Its new building was inaugurated by Dr John V. George IPS (DGP of prison in Haryana) and blessed by His Grace Most Rev. Vincent M. Concessao, the Archbishop of Delhi on 21st of March, 2009. The Church started St. Jude's Academy because it was the need of the hour. The Catholic Archdiocese of Delhi has got many schools which believe in promoting spiritual, moral and educational values.

St Jude was one of the disciples of Jesus who was mistakenly known as Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus who was their master and God himself. But he is the saint of the hope to the hopeless and those who lost meaning in their lives. He is also a saint who comforts, consoles, counsels and leads the pupil to achieve impossible things. We too have put our trust and faith in Him who will protect each and every child from every harm and sickness and will guide them to have a meaningful life by their own effort.

St. Judes says, "keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life".
