Examination & Promotion

Classes LKG - V

Examinations and unit test are compulsory for all students. The details of examinations and unit tests for Classes I to VIII are already given under CCE.

For all examinations we follow C B S E Curriculum and Questions.

Students who are absent from examination for any reason will not be re-examined .If a pupil is not able to appear for whole examination for valid reasons his/her case will be considered on the strength of the year's record. In case a student is found using unfair means in an examination, he/she will be awarded zero for that paper and will be debarred from appearing for the rest of the examinations. Repetition of the same offence will result in dismissal.

Promotion

The results of the examinations published are final. Parents and guardians are not expected to dictate terms to School Authorities regarding their child's promotion or detention which is decided on the performance of the child following strictly the guidelines of the C.B.S.E. The decision of the Principal with regard to promotion after the annual examination will be final.

MODE OF EXAMINATION

• Classes I and above will have four assessments, during the session. There will be two periodic tests and two term assessments in a year. No one is exempted from these assessments and those who are absent without valid reasons and prior permission of the Principal will not be allowed to reappear for the exam.
• Any possibility of giving a re-test is obviously ruled out, such provision is not entertained.
• General knowledge, Moral Science, Art/Drawing and Work Experience are considered as graded subjects.

RULES OF PROMOTION

• For all the classes Passing marks will be 40% per subject.
• Promotions is granted on the basis of the whole year's work performance.
• Classes I to XII will have a total of 100 marks adding up the marks of two units and two terms. A minimum of 40% marks is required for promotion.
• Promotion for classes will be based on the performance in the four exams. If a student fails to attend any examination without a valid reason and at the same time deserves a genuine pass, the concerned parents are expected to meet the principal within a week before the declaration of the result.
• Once the result is declared, the office will not entertain any sort of discussion in this regard.
• Result of those students whose dues are not cleared their report cards will be withheld.
• In all cases of promotion, the Principal's decision is irrevocable
